Buyers ask questions directly on the listing. Respond promptly. Build trust with your history.

Use PayPal Goods and Services. Never pay via friends and family for a deal you did not initiate.
How to post a great listing
Clean your device thoroughly
This is not optional. All devices must be cleaned before shipping. Clean the bowl, airpath, screens, and any accessories. A clean device sells faster and protects you from disputes.
Photograph proof of cleanliness
Include at least one photo showing the device is clean. Buyers expect to see the bowl, mouthpiece, and screen area. This protects both parties and sets expectations accurately before shipment.
Photograph everything honestly
Show the device from multiple angles. Include any scratches, wear marks, or cosmetic flaws. Photo the accessories, original packaging if included, and screens or consumables.
Write a complete description
Include: brand, model, condition, purchase date estimate, usage level, what is included, what is not included, known flaws, shipping timeline, and accepted payment methods.
Set a fair price and mark it sold promptly
Do your research. Check completed listings for comparable items. When your item sells, mark it as sold immediately so buyers are not reaching out for unavailable gear.
All vaporizers listed on SCE must be cleaned before shipping. This is a community standard, not a suggestion. Listings for visibly dirty devices may be removed. Buyers should feel confident they are receiving a device in clean, respectful condition.

New / Sealed: Never used, original packaging intact.
Like New: Used 1 to 5 times, no visible wear, full kit.
Excellent: Light use, no scratches, clean, complete.
Good: Regular use, minor wear, fully functional.
Fair: Noticeable wear or cosmetic flaws, works correctly.
For Parts: May not function as intended.

Always Use PayPal G&S
PayPal Goods and Services gives you buyer protection. Never pay via Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or PayPal Friends and Family for a purchase from someone you do not personally know.
Check Seller History
Look at how many completed sales a seller has on SCE. New accounts with no history are not automatically bad, but extra caution and partial payment after tracking is reasonable.
Ask Questions First
Use the Q&A section on every listing. Ask for additional photos, specific details, or confirmation that the device has been cleaned. A good seller will respond promptly and honestly.
Confirm Shipping Details
Get a shipping timeline and tracking number. Ask about packaging. Expect the device to arrive clean, packed carefully, with all accessories as described.
If Something Feels Wrong
Trust your gut. If a deal seems too good, the seller is rushing you, or they resist PayPal G&S, walk away. Report any suspicious behavior to moderation.
Dispute Resolution
SCE is not a financial intermediary and cannot process refunds. PayPal Goods and Services handles disputes. For community violations, contact admin@secondchance.exchange.
Recommended and accepted by the community.
✓ PayPal Goods and Services
Recommended. Provides buyer protection, dispute resolution, and seller protection against false chargebacks when used correctly.
✓ Venmo (with caution)
Acceptable between established members with verified history. Not recommended for new accounts. No buyer protection on personal transfers.
✓ Cash App (with caution)
Same caveats as Venmo. Use only with sellers who have a verifiable SCE track record. No dispute resolution available.
✗ PayPal Friends and Family
Never use this for purchases. Scammers request this specifically because it has no buyer protection. This should be a hard stop for any transaction.
✗ Wire Transfers
Never send a wire transfer to a stranger for a vaporizer purchase. No recourse if something goes wrong. Scammer favorite.
✗ Cryptocurrency
Not recommended. Irreversible and no buyer protection. Only acceptable between users with extensive mutual history on the platform.
